NSCC maintains this website as a service to its members and visitors. NSCC has created this Privacy Policy to explain why we collect particular information and how we will protect your personal privacy within our website.

Visitors

For each visitor to our website, our Web server automatically recognizes the visitor's domain name, browser type, and other general traffic information. This information is not linked to personally identifiable information (e.g. e-mail address) and you remain anonymous. The information we collect is used to improve the content of our website. With respect to cookies: We do not set any cookies.

Your personally identifiable information is kept secure. If you supply us with your e-mail address you will only receive the information requested for which you provided us your e-mail address. If you do not want to receive e-mail from us in the future, please let us know by calling us at the above telephone number, e-mailing us at the e-mail address above, or writing to us at the above address.

No visitor information is given or sold to others.

Members

We have several basic groups of people that might be listed or referred to: staff, adult members, and youth. Information of concern could include names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers and photographs. Home addresses are never posted.

• For staff, we list names only. We do not list e-mail addresses and phone numbers unless they have specifically given permission. It is important that people are able to contact staff and council members and that access is all through the church office.
• For adult members, we sometimes list names when they are a contact for a group, program or event that we are covering on the website. We do not list email addresses and phone numbers unless they have specifically given permission. It is assumed that other members have the church directory or can call the office for phone numbers.
• For youth and children, we generally do not list full names, but at most the first name and initial of the last name. We also do not list email addresses or phone numbers. Photo captions do not include full names and often do not include names at all.

NSCC has a member directory with names, addresses, email, etc which is only available to members and friends of NSCC. It is periodically distributed in print at the church. To request a copy or to add your information to this directory please contact the church office. This directory is not available online and is not sold to others.

Photographs

When using photos of NSCC events, members, etc online, either directly on the website or in our photo albums we use the following guidelines:

• Including photos on our website is a privilege for us, and we intend to respect and honor it.
• Automatic approval for publication on the website of pictures of adults or minors participating in church activities is assumed.
• Photos are almost always of people in public spaces, at public events.
• We try not to post anything that would be embarrassing, objectionable or hurtful to anyone in the photo. If we know someone is shy about such things, we ask them before posting the photo.
• Applying other parts of our general privacy policy, we don't put full names of children or youth as captions with photos, and we minimize how often we use full names of adults.
• We will gladly provide credit for who took a particular photo if desired by the photographer, and we would certainly honor any copyright wishes or restrictions.
• Requests by individuals for removal of specific pictures of themselves, or of parents or guardians for removal of specific pictures of their minor children, will always be honored immediately upon request.
• Individuals may file with the church office a blanket denial of permission for publication of pictures of themselves or of their minor children or wards.
